Kathy Flippo keeps churning out books. Her first river book was "Beaver Island Remembered." Then came "Between The Saints: Louis and Paul." Her latest, "Back To Beaver Island," is a sequel to the first Beaver Island book and goes much deeper into the lives of the former residents of Beaver Island and records the events that took place after the author invited them all to return to the island for a bit of reminiscing. Obviously she has been able to track down many more people and learn of their island existence. This book contains many maps of the island, family trees of the residents, a resident directory, and, believe it or not, drawings of the layouts of the homes many of them lived in, both cabins and farm

houses. It is chock full of interesting pictures. Life on the island was not easy. Often it was fun. It was always a challenge. Kathy lived on the island as a child and has done a remarkable job of word-painting the lives lives of people who lived there.
About "Back To Beaver island" Joanne Wiklund, editor of Great River Eagle Press, Ltd., wrote: Kathy Flippo gathered together just what she needed to make another 'good read.' Ranging from a poem about the Mississippi River to life and death on Beaver Island, Kathy is a storyteller with an ear for the sound of the river and an eye for details that readers want to know."
