  • Mv. Larry Tilley’s lead barge, bow flag. January 2, 2007. Photographer writes: When I started on the river in ’65, most boats flew a company logo flag on the head of the tow. My last hitch on the river found variances of that old custom. But, with all those variances, Old Glory seems to be the most prominent. My thanks to the towboat crews for displaying their courage and patriotism. The Tilley was northbound in the Louisville Portland Canal. Copyright Ron Richardson.
